   Few figures in the modern independent music landscape command as much raw, multi-disciplinary hustle as the Great Lakes’ own, DJ Vietnam. Born in the rugged heart of Detroit and raised in Ohio, his path has always been defined by a relentless work ethic and a deep dedication to his roots. The gritty survival instincts and tight-knit community of his childhood neighborhood, a Detroit enclave known as "Little Vietnam" at the intersection of Santa Rosa and Lyndon, stayed with him and ultimately inspired the moniker that would define his professional legacy. This foundation of resilience served him well when he answered the call to serve his country in the United States Army, where he discovered his true calling behind the turntables in 2006. The precision, rhythm, and mental fortitude required of a soldier seamlessly translated to the DJ booth, transforming a military passion project into an unstoppable creative drive.

   DJ Vietnam quickly realized that mastering the decks was only the first step, leading him to set his sights on building the actual infrastructure of the music industry. Over the next two decades, he established himself as a powerful executive by founding and spearheading a diverse network of influential media platforms and record labels. As the founder of EmpireIAM Enterprise, he made waves in 2015 when the forward-thinking entity was presented to both the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and at the prestigious Silicon Valley Harlem event in New York City. He channeled this business acumen into print and digital media as the CEO of Hip Hop Empire Magazine, elevating the publication into a premier voice for the culture and a champion for independent artists. His entrepreneurial footprint expanded even further through the launch of Mixtape Dynasty, Lifeless Immortal Music Group, and The Real GrindHouse Records, alongside a high-profile executive run as the former President of Marketing for the Worldwide Hip Hop Hall Of Fame Wax Museum & Hospitality Resort.

   With a massive sound and undeniable marketing prowess, DJ Vietnam took his movement on the road, rocking major crowds across a multi-city tour that spanned Atlanta, College Park, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Jacksonville, and New Jersey. Yet, his impact has always stretched far beyond the walls of nightclubs and music venues, rooted deeply in social consciousness and community action. This was put on full display 10 years after his 2015 Silicon Valley appearance in New York City, when he traveled directly to Washington, D.C., to march in the historic "Justice Or Else" Million Man March. This balance of industry success and community dedication laid the groundwork for his next major chapter in 2025, when he established OGLive Radio in Trenton, New Jersey. Serving as President of the station, he continues to bring authentic hip-hop culture directly to the people while maintaining his hands-on love for the craft, performing a live DJ set every Thursday night on a massive stage at a multi-diverse venue in the heart of New Jersey's capital.
